Not so long ago, I received an ARC of Vault of dreams which was written by Luke Taylor. And today, I’m going to be reviewing it. This review does not contain any spoilers because the book is not out yet and I don’t want to spoil anyone. I want to thank Luke personally for bringing me along this amazing journey. Let’s get started on the review!

My rating: 4.5/5 stars

Albanland. Emerald hills and ice blue lochs, bordered by Nørds raiders and the haughty monarchs of South Angle, each dynasty eager to seize lands weakened by a civil war in which a usurper has risen to seize the cloven throne.
Morgance, Faer Princess of the Night.
And by her side, the fearsome Ultan Skölhammer, sworn Guardian of the Crown.
But Rhoswen, rightful heir to the throne, princess in exile, leads a final uprising from the depths of the forest, an uprising that twists together the lives of the most unlikely companions.
A notorious thief accused of a crime she did not commit.
A baird apprentice searching for the meaning of life.
A pair of brothers who can’t seem to stay out of trouble.
And a gypsy bound to the ancient artifact known only as the Vault of Dreams.

I want to start by saying that the cover is gorgeous. It is probably one of the most beautiful ones I own. The person who did it has a lot of potential. Luke’s writing is utterly beautiful and I was very pleasantly surprised by how easy it was for me to picture the setting in my head. It is written in a very poetic way which makes the story even more beautiful, even though it took me time before getting used to it. But once I was used to it, I could picture everything and found myself loving his style of writing.

The characters in this book are very unique and their interactions are so well-built that it makes you love them even more. What I love even more is that each and every character has a good role in this book. Let me explain: each and everyone of each takes a part in the final uprising and the concept of loyalty they have is so overwhelming. It’s amazing how you go through their journey with them and at the end, you become so happy of what they have become. Even the “evil” characters in the end have their own journey where they will achieve something they were looking for which added so much to the story. After all, everyone just want to be loved.

So this is my review, I know it’s kind of short in comparison of my other reviews but I just don’t know what to add without spoiling anyone.
