I was tagged by 52 letters in the alphabet earlier this month to do this tag! Thank you! Here is where I was tagged: The Olympic Book Tag. Check it out!! I loved watching the Olympics with my family and I decided why not do this tag!
Let’s get started:
The Opening Ceremony — What book did you think had an incredible opening?
Rebel Spring is the second book in the Falling Kingdoms series. Rebel Spring takes off shortly after the first book so it had an incredible action opening.
“When the king of Blood wanted to make a point, he made it as sharp as possible. It was midday. With bone-chilling thuds, the executioner’s ax fell upon the necks of three accused rebels, severing their heads from their bodies.
I warn you, this book is intense, which is why I love it so much!
The Games — What is your favorite fictional competition?
Beside the characters, my favorite thing about Red Rising is seeing how the “game” happens. It is very intense and the author do not sugarcoat what happens. It’s one of the best competition I ever read about. Ever since the “game” started, it got me at the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end. It’s so worth the read!
The Original — The modern games are based on the original Greek competition – what is your favorite book based on a classic?
It’s not the only one, but I figured that it’s better to pick books that I don’t talk about all the time. So for this I’m going to pick Alice in Zombieland. My friend actually told me to read it and I did not finish the series yet; I only read until book two. Do I even have to say what’s the classic it is based on?
The Eternal Flame — What is one ship that you won’t let die, even after the books made it clear it was never going to happen?
*The picture is not mine*
Chaolaena!!!!! Don’t get me wrong, I love Rowan and I want him and Aelin to be together, but there will always a piece of my heart hurting for Chaolaena. I was on this ship from book one and it’s still hard to just give it up. *sigh* I just want them to be happy.
Gymnastics — What’s a book that had so many twists and turns it left your head spinning? (in a good way)
So much for “not-picking-up-books-I-always-talk-about”, but it was really the book that immediately came to my mind. And if I didn’t re-read and take notes, I would have forgotten a lot of details because of how much happened in this book.
The Controversial Judge — What’s a book that you have a totally different opinion about than most other people?
To be honest, I don’t know what happened between me and this book. I heard how everyone is loving it and how it is one of the best books they read in a long time, but it just wasn’t for me. I thought the writing was too simple; most of the time, there wasn’t a complete sentence and I really didn’t like the plot. I’m sorry if you liked this book, I tried and couldn’t.
Beach Volleyball — What is your favorite fictional duo?
Noah and Jude! My favorite twins!!!!
Weightlifting — What is the most massive book on your shelf?
This is around 1000 pages so it’s pretty big…. It is the biggest book I own and I think it’ll stay that way for a long time from now.
Track & Field — What is a book that you just tore through with world record speed?
I read the entire series in two days….I just couldn’t put it down. AT ALL! I had to know what was going to happen! And it’s easy to read. It’s either this series or Anna and the french kiss.
Synchronized Swimming — What is a book series that you kept reading, even though you didn’t have any idea why?
Don’t get me wrong, I loved the first book. And I was so excited to read the second book, but I was disappointed and kept being disappointed with the other books in the series. I have no idea why I finished this series and I don’t even remember what happened…
The Tortured Fan — What fictional family, group, nation, or organisation do you irrationally rout for no matter how many times they break your heart?
I don’t really know about this one so I’m just going to skip it.
Closing Ceremony — What book had an ending that just blew your mind?
I’m not going to spoil anything, but the ending was something!
